I won't lie I'm guilty of using it to get free stuff... I was young, can you blame meh . Never begged but I just befriended people and they gave me free stuff lol, alot of love hungry people on the web. If they started asking questions than I just answered honestly. It was pretty interesting to see the reactions and anger back in my runescape days.

Ok. I'm one of those people who play male and female characters in MMO's. But for some reason it seems the female ones become my mains. Then again I usually have a gimmick for each character and when I find one I love I stick with it. Like my 'evil magic school girl' brute on CoH when everyone was doing Hulk-clones (CoV launch), or the great grand-niece of Alice Liddell in Secret World.

Why yes, I am a RP'er. But I'm not annoying about it.

BUT if girls like to play guy toons or guys play girl toons. what matters is if they are good and that is it

Anecdotal, BUT have always found girl toons whether they were real girls playing girls or guys playing girls = tend to be some of the best players to team with.

Every group instance ever done while being the lone guy toon tend to get it done faster, less confusion on goals, and great team work from quick rezing of each other to whatever. female toons (whatever the real person behind them are) seem to be the best team players

Every time I asked a guy why he plays a female char its because that he rather look at a female chars "behind" all the time then a male... Seriously? If that's what i wanted I would go do something else and 15 min after I'm able to enjoy the game without my hormones playing a role lol. maybe I just like to think that the character I play in game is a little like me... and since I don't have.. ahh... the stuff women do I'll rather play my own gender. ofc this is just my opinion.

Well there is a legit reason as to why some guys play females only: They don't want to stare at guy buttcheeks because they are insecure and/or homophobic. Call it weird but there is a good bit of truth in that.

I played a female in swtor because of the actor's voice, but everyone has their own reasons.
