People who try to sweet talk others into giving them free things are pathetic, however, those who buy into the sweet talk of a video game character are even more pathetic. Play the game, earn the gear.

I agree. They should make an MMO with that as the tag line: Play the game. Earn the gear. I'd play a game like that just because it makes individuals responsible for their own equipment.
