Guys who pose as Female Charaters in MMO's A.k.A MMO Catfish

you guys/gals ever seen that MTV show Catfish? Its pretty much a show where they meet some one whos been speaking a some one online for a long time and are in love with them but have never met the person then these 2 guys help them meet to see if they are who they say they are in person which in most times it aint its a different person than in the pics,some guy posing as a girl or girl posting as a guy

anyway to my point

Their are alot of guys who play as female characters so they can try charm free things off of guys like a cyber gold digger lol happens all the time ive caught a catfish or two of my own one tried and tried and tried to sweet talk me (via in game text) and then say hey do you got a few thousand gold you can give me and when i never would get mad at me until one day they said BTW im a guy and you thought i was a girl your sad...... yea im the sad one

Have you ever ran into one of these catfish? and if so what happened
if not whats your view on this? maybe your a catfish who would like to tell us about some huge item some one gave you

I believe that is a 50/50 outlook as well...depending on how long you've been playing a game, I know a few on other MMO's that do it for a change of pace and are tired of looking at the male characters they play 90% of the time. So as I said a 50/50 cross-road on why they do it.

Now with the accordance of what you said about them doing it to get gold, gear, or whatever is possible in the game of there choice...Then "I AM TOTALLY AGAINST IT" and believe the one's that do it solely on that basis should have there accounts banned from the game they are playing.

Some female characters tend to look better in certain games as well...I played one for 5 years and the Male's looked the same, but the Female and Unique races were always getting polish put to them. You Decide

I can understand guys not wanting to look at a male body all the time xD, but guys playing as female characters to trick people into giving them stuff in the game is just wrong. And that kind of stuff is why I only trust my circle of gaming friends and not random people >__<.

Being a girl I pick male characters most of the time in games, because you get a lot of people following you around and people sending you messages/friend invites when you play as a female -__-. It's more fun to play a game when people think you're just "one of the guys."

I won't but people actually just give away their stuff because its a femtar? O.O I mean I give stuff to femtars too but that's in a unrelated game that has gender locked clothing. Other than that I'm too much of a hoarder to just give away mah stuff :P
On a side note I would think voice chat would cut down on this and the fact that there isn't really any kind of main hub for ppl to hang out in. But yes assume all femtars are male, safest bet for sure.

Admittedly I had quite a bit of fun creating and designing a female character in Saints Row 3..oh, and watching her sprinting.. Clearly for research purposes only!!! I'm not sure I would want to in a game like Defiance though. But hey ho, each to their own

Personally I play as female characters cause I don't like watching a dude run around if I have to watch his whole Body. Rather see a female characters with nice legs running around and squating and shooting a gun

What about the other side: Girls who play male charakters. I am female and I always (really always, not 1 female character in any game) play males. First question of most of the other users is: Are you lesbian? Hell!No! I´m not! Other Girls playing males? I don´t know!

I´m not trying to hide something, to get benefits or to mess around with somebody. It´s... a mystery to myself why I´m doing.
But yesterday, ingame, during a vid sequence I thought: Hell, he has a nice *** in this outfit!
And before the question is asked: Yeah, I have real men in my life....

My character is a female too. Like someone said on another message, 1. i'd rather look at a female character than a male, 2. I use Female characters on other games, halo 4 etc. also, I find they have smaller area mass ( or whatever its called ) to get hit by bullets and other weapons etc. If thats even possible, thats another thing, but i'd rather look a smaller character, which is harder to see slightly if an enemy is looking for me etc. So yeah... <------ thats my reason.

I have a very set defined list of online characters that are either male or female (I'm male).

I never ever made female characters to try and deceive people; I only made them because I wanted a specific sex to be a specific role (I suppose in a way that could make me sexist? Healers are female in my opinion )

My main characters are always male however.
In Defiance I only have one character and he's male.
