Can we buy the paid DLC with Bits?

I wasn't really sure. It seems like in Defiance I might be able to use the Bits to purchase the DLC, but I've played other games that made you buy their expansions separately.

Two things, it's not an expansion, just a small update. Also, what platform are you on? There MIGHT be a different answer on PS3 or Xbox... For PC you need to purchase it for $10/DLC or but the Season Pass of 5 DLCs for ~ $30.

I'm glad you can't buy the DLC with bits.

I understand the underlying philosophy of free to play games that allow players to buy/sell currency and effectively earn content like this via regular play, but the design of those games can be monstrously warped because of it. They can become tiresome grind-fests intended to bore you into whipping out your credit card to pay your way past the grind.

There's no sub on the game. Even if you bought it at full price back around launch, $10 for this new content doesn't seem like a bad deal to me.

I do like the idea of being able to get paid DLC for free by trading other players in game items/currency for other currencies such as bits, although I don't think bits are tradeable are they?
