This removes the REGION lock, so you can play with Xbox friends on either side of the pond. You still won't be able to play with the PC or PS3 players.

A prep patcher? This sounds like things are being done by pros since Blizzard tends to do the very same thing and our dlc is finally working too. No more delays... maybe we can hope for little to no bugs? Is Defiance actually gonna be a game again and I can't crack on them calling the company Flagship studios?

This removes the REGION lock, so you can play with Xbox friends on either side of the pond. You still won't be able to play with the PC or PS3 players.

It means you can pick which region you'll play in but you have to create a new character to do so--just to be clear. So if you're in the US and want to play with friends in the UK, you can choose that but then can't also play with people in the US anymore.
