The problem is, at least on xbox, there are too many people with too much scrip. Any time a halfway decent gun is posted, it isnt long before the usual suspects take the bidding to a level only a few can afford. And most of the time, they buy the gun to either resell for even more, or put into their inventories forever. Its very tough for many to compete with this, and I really dont know how you can change it, unless you only buy guns from friends and sellers that dont want to rip your face off.
If you have the best of something, how do you put a price on that?
Okay most of this sounds like auctioning, which I agree if you start it as an auction then sky is the limits. An what's one mans junk is another mans treasure. What determines the best stuff is your buyer. Say I put a gun together, just for giggles green. Open all the mod slots, find mods that help it do better say all green tier 3 an its not syn, a nano an say one good roll, say its a vbi assault carbine. What should I charge for that. That's kinda my problem. Do I charge just over what the game says its worth, or tack up the price for the extra work I put into it. Granted I know I'm not going to get 50k for it but what is a good price range. You could say same for blue an higher.
Good luck trying to reunite sellers... There's too much greedy persons who prefer to maintain the Auction status quo instead of having the courage to play with transparency (first come, first served with solid prices announced, just like in any IRL shop).
But I guess that's how "Human Beings" are in general.
Too bad, it had such a great potential.
