EGO Evolution VI and PvP Pursuits.....

So I'm am more of a PvE player, I enjoy playing co-op maps with friends, driving around doing random events and Arkfalls. For that reason it really bothers me that EGO Evolution VI requires Trusted Rep with Echelon, I would not mind that or a higher tier rep requirement for the other factions, but Echelon contracts give very little rep points and to a player who does not enjoy PvP it feels a little frustrating.

I'm a completionist, and I made my peace that I would not be able to complete the Competitive Multiplayer branch on the pursuits, but for Evol VI id need to do all the PvP contracts for 5 weeks, which does not seem viable, specially with how long it takes to get a match sometimes, just to play with the same people over and over to whom I am no where near as skilled.

Id really prefer if the Pursuit would include the Paradise Territory rep and just ask for Trusted status on 4 out of the 5 Factions. It might take a while but at least those who do enjoy PvP and those who don't actually get to play like they want and still get that PvE skin.

Not a PVP'r with invis bunnyhoppers, and not an ATV racer with my current controls.

I'm not going to get much beyond E-4600, and thats just the way my world is.

    oh, well....
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

You should be able to get close to 4800. Im nearing 4900, but i have 1 PvP pursuit that i got accidentally i guess.

I hate PvP as well in Defiance, but, it is what it is. And I dont believe the Echelon dailies/weeklies give any less Rep then other dailies/weeklies.

Anyways after I believe its 4500 EGO you recieve maxxed guns (Nano + Syn + 4 slots), so you really arent losing out there... Its really after 4400, but you can get guns that are -100 Ego, so 4500 and you're good to go... its still a roll of the dice though.

Where PvP haters really get hurt is Shields and Nades. as they're the only items that actually SCALE with lvl. So you never get Max Cap shields or Max Dmg nades. meh... And who knows what else that will come with DLC's that might scale (hinting towards Blades)

...But fear not... With Episode Missions and such, you will be able to inch your way to 5000 EGO. I think atm its +121 Ego so far from Eps + Replays?... Slowly but surely.

P.S. Theres been some hinting that there may be new ways to obtain Rep in the future, perhaps better ways... I think instead of contracts for Echelon, it should just be X-amount of kills in PvP. Least i wouldnt have to worry about turreting this day, or revenge kills that day, or WINNING... dah well. is what it is.

the weekly contracts give you 50 per week, you could hit trusted eventually just joining the weekly matches and sitting there. You get updates even if you don't participate. Although you will likely wanna tab over and surf the web or so something else for a bit.

That's horrible advice even if not considering that AFKing in PvP is impolite and can ruin games for those who actually want to PvP. This game is meant to be played and not alt-tabbed over just because of some pursuits you don't want to actually put effort into.

for quite a while back when keycodes came from emergencies, the contracts were messed up to where you could the weekly like 4 or 5 times before it locked out. i got to trusted in all categories very fast from this lol. also when i bought rep vendor stuff, it reduced the amount of rep i had on me but not what i had earned, meaning i only had about 300 rep the first faction that went trusted for me. i dont know if its still a static total or not but trusted in all categories was probably the easiest pursuit for me

To OP. I was in the exact same situation before. It's really not too hard to get trusted in Echelon, it will just take some time. During the evenings on the NA side there are usually a lot of matches. At first you will miss some daily contracts like for me I still miss the turret kills. Check out the PVP section there is a lot of good advice there for how to get better and what builds to use. After awhile you may find it fun too.

For me playing this game long enough to get to 4000 EGO, PVP is about one of the few fun things left to do.

Yesterday's Rescue Kills... ugh. Got 3/5 before going to bed. (You were wreaking me in FY last night too, btw.)

As said, weekly contracts aren't bad. Overall, just queue up in the evening while playing normally and just have some fun with it. You will die a bunch at the start but just gauge your play from one day to the next.

You must have caught me in one of my good games . I still have a ton of bad games but at least now, every once in a while, I can be pretty good. When I first started on the PVP pursuits it was disastrous.

I think there is also a problem with the kills not registering correctly all the time for stuff like Rescue kills or Attack Kills in FY. It took me a long time yesterday too to complete that contract. Half the time if the contract isn't just get X # of kills or play X # of times you almost have to do double what the contract says.

Totally agree with OP and I've reported it many times : why this particular pursuit is fully PvE and suddenly that little last line asks for hours of PvP ? Paradise rep would have been more in line with the rest of the pursuit.

I also am at peace with the 13 pursuits of PvP I'll never make, it's my choice and won't complain; PvPers need stuff to achieve too and it's fine by me.

This particular one just doesn't make sense.
