I'm the same way, it got to the point where I became sort of a snob about playing games on XBL because of this, but then I started to think back a little and realized how big of a jerk I probably would have been to people on XBL if it was around when I was their age and then it just seems kinda par for the course.

I will say it is pretty entertaining when these "adults" are in the games arguing with children who are like 1/3rd their age. I almost envy somebody with that much free time and lack of real problems.

I avoid consoles altogether. The last one I remember having was way back in the Nintendo days when I played Duck Hunt, etc..

These days I'd rather have hardware I can use for more than games, and like many others, I dislike the general population in the console forums, etc.. Besides, I can pick up a doorstop at Home Depot for less than a dollar and not have to worry about it getting wet if it rains.

I think PC communities tend to have longer attention spans - less likely to drift off to another game just because that is the new one. The board here seems fairly friendly / less agressive than the general board, so hopefully some good people to play with in the coming weeks and months

Always grew up on a PC and always tend to stay on the PC, I think it's far worth the quality you get(especially multipurpose lol). And the community is better compared to forums as most of you have said. Looking forward to play with you guys, add me on steam if you got it. neb1221

And yeah really no surprise about Sony vs Microsoft. Sad but no surprise.

Edit: Ahh for the years when i ran keyboard + mouse, wish i could go back honestly, game controllers let my hands feel good yet my mind still adjusting to using them at the PC
Did you ever tried a N52 from Belkin ? I'm using a N52TE from them but Razer made new ones , you have an hand rest and all the keys are close to each other anyhow here is a link http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-nostromo , also I use a Razer Naga all the keys from 1 to 12 are on your thumb buttons. No idea if it would help you but I heard from some people that have problems with carpal tunnel and other stuff using those with no problems

Edit: you can find those kinda cheap on amazon, I mean they are cheaper there than on the razer website

I've had an original n52 from belkin when they were brand new, the problem is as for some reason even with that my joints begin to lock up on me and are very painful to flex after about 20mins of playing. i use a big old xbox controller and some reason my finger joints don't cramp and lock up on me with that.

Well, the problem lies with your fingers using force while your hand is open as opposed to while its closed "controller". About the only thing you can do is use a controller or make sure your left elbow is supported at the same level as your left hand allowing your hand to stay fully relaxed when you are not pressing keys.

    Anyways hope the info helps.

Ahh sad to hear about that, in a way I was hoping it would help as I'm getting older too (41) with pain in my back and my knees I was hoping that when pain will get into my hands (sometimes I already have those but nothing unbearable yet) I would be able to continue playing PC games for a long time more, oh well better play now while I still can hehe
