ONLINE SHOOTERS and Auto AIM-- Really?

Shhh, you're going to ruin it. It's much more entertaining when they don't realize they're wrong.

This is the most adorable/depressing part of it all. It's cute because someone is raging before they understand a situation, and saddening because this is the sort of attitude we have to deal with in gaming these days.

If you haven't caught on yet Lakkiada, the auto aim function only works for non-PvP elements of the game. It disables itself during any PvP function. Even if this feature were to function in PvP, I don't think it would provide much of a benefit. Based on my (incredibly) limited experience with it, it seems to hamper good players than it helps mediocre ones.

The feature really does not do much for mouse and keyboard users, but it is helpful for players using Xbox controllers on their PC. I fail to see any reason to remove it if it serves a purpose for some players. It doesn't intrude on the competitive experience without completely devaluing aim in cooperative elements of the game. I really do not see the issue with it.

Well, we need auto win since I have aa on and have not won any on pvp yet. Oh yeah and I have been on this game since right after beta.

Don't interpret my text as "raging" or being upset. In my opinion, Auto Aim should NOT be included in ANY part of an online shooter. That is all. I asked if it is enabled in PVP or not, to which I have learned it isn't. I have AA off at all times. In any game. It is more of a hindrance to good players.

You know how you summon your Challenger and your character swings 270 degrees in a random direction before the car appears? Thats what AA does in PvE with a scoped weapon. Can't hit the broadside of a matron.

I find it funny people complain/rage about auto aim when if they had any skill they wouldn't care if it was on or not its the same with people saying someone is dumb for using a controller on any pc game as it dont effect you so why should you care?

This "little" feature is total garbage and massively takes away from the game. Doesn't not having to aim kinda ruin the point of a shooter? It should take skill to hit what you want, not just point that way and hit everything.

It has been verified that Auto-Aim is NOT enabled during PVP. Thanks for clarifying all.


Defiance is a great game, it does have LOTS of issues currently, however enabling auto aim in PVE and/or PVP in any shooter is a complete and total turn off to any decent gamer. This NEEDS to be removed. Please bump if you agree.

plus auto aim does auto headshots and headshots are how u kill fast in pvp.

Auto aim moves the cursor, period. Whether you are good or not. Your argument doesn't really make sense.

To be honest, autoaim only feels like making it easier.And to most of new players, it is easier to shoot the freaking aliens by using autoaim but if we go trough few EGO grades upper, few played hours forward, you start noticing that you shoot even better if you disable autoaim.
I see no reason why autoaim would affect at PvP, there the autoaim helps new players and advanced players make headshots manually, easier.And I think that advanced players also have some skills in their pocket to beat couple of autoaim jerks.
