Also from the UK and I've barely seen any advertising.

I heard about the beta through Raptr, and GameSpot have done a few articles on it, but those are both US based sources. Most of what I know about the game I found through doing my own research, reading the forums, watching youtube videos and playing the beta.

GameStop ran a banner for a few months in various stores since December, I've seen some posting of billboard sittings from Beverly Hills to Time Square. I've seen tons of ads and with the launch approaching I've seen the 'New Age' promo on a ton of TV channels:

    - ABC (local broadcast)
    - NBC (LB)
    - FX
    - A&E
    - AMC
    - USA

Not to mention the endless banners on just about every website I visit. So there is lots of advertising out there.

Yea maybe now within the last three weeks to a month the advertisements may be rising because of the popularity NOW, but it should have been this abundant from the start so we of the console gamers could have a larger community upon launch. IMHO.

Hate to tell you but look at the thread counts here in the forums the consoles have more threads than PC, and Xbox has the most. Now in my experience with most games the outspoken and seriously interested end up on the forums that doesn't mean there are others out there. I just spoke with a person that I didn't even know games at all and he was like "Do you know anything about this Defiance game? I just pre-ordered it." He knew nothing and just on what he saw on an ad he bought it bout three weeks ago.

So there are folks out there getting this title, they just aren't the type to come here and tell everyone.

I had not heard of Defiance, before an email popped with a beta invite for PC, back in January. I really liked the beta (both on PC and PS3), so it's suchs a huge shame with the lack of advertising. I've been gaming for alot of years, therefore I have a lot of friends I game with. No one of them have heard of Defiance before, when I asked them a week or so ago.

I still haven't seen a single ad or commercial for the game anywhere.

I have noticed that a few Youtubers posted a video about Defiance, and their opinion on the game. Levelcapgaming, Jackfrags and FrankieOnPC are the ones I'm talking about. That's positive atleast, as they have quite large fanbases-

I'm even starting to see advertising on The Hub, and twice as much during a certain Cartoon starring Miniature Equines. So in short, the marketing heads know what they are doing

In Canada, the commercials come on every now and then (For TV show), and the game gets some commercials and posters hung up in-front of stores.

I just preorderd a couple of hours ago, I probably would have preorderd earlier if it was more clear how the payment plan worked. But it took me a couple days to find out, and im still not clear. Also there is not a lot of information about the game world on the website, just the game site pointing to the SciFi site and the SciFi site pointing to the game site. Working in advertising myself, i understand that you only have a couple seconds to hook people, hence the front page before you go to the "full site," but once you hook people there is no real information about the game.

It also helped that I was bombarded with ads on steam, the "free" beta download on PS3, and a guy posting on the FireFall forums asking which would be better ( a moot point because FireFall is far from done )
