Blur - is anybody going to use it?

When I tried out Blur it was a huge let down for me.
I expected some Borderlands siren-like gameplay.

Instead I got a negligible speedboost and a grip-slap damage boost that even with stacked mod bonuses was anything but impressive.

In PvE it might be useful to squash some baby-sized bugs, but in PvP it's not even worth the laugh.
The boost is anything but a tide-changer, I have yet to meet somebody who struggles with aiming at a Blur-user.


So, is there anybody who is convinced by this EGO-power or is it really just a tiny niche-filler?

I fell in love with Cloak as it fits my play-style, but given that all the other Powers are linked to Pursuits, and those Pursuits boost my EGO, and that EGO can be used to boost cloak, then yes I'll be using it, might even find great uses for it and continue to use it.

But I honestly didn't try it out enough in beta to form a concrete opinion on it otherwise.

I tried it briefly in the beta, but it did feel underwhelming and not all that useful given the long cooldown.

Cloak and overload fitted my play style better so I tended to stick with those.

I saw a whole two people use it in the beta and that was only in the first hour or so. It's pretty useless except for maybe getting to a downed teammate a few seconds faster.

Blur is probably the best EGO ability for PvP for a multitude of reasons. It's just so insanely good.

For PvE? Lol, why would you even consider it?

So I guess people agree when I suggest that Blur would be much better with a 100% instead of 50% speedboost and without a melee-damage amplifier?

In what way is it the best EGO power for PvP?
I haven't seen anybody troubling to hit a Blur-user yet.

You want to switch cover?
Use Decoy and swap, if you're lucky your enemies even waste bullets on it.
You want to melee an enemy?
Eat his shotgun while you're trying to get close.
(Or see him Cloak and disappear while you got this fancy blue aura attracting enemies all over the map)

Think some powers are going to favor PvE/PvP type situation when it comes down to it.

Apparently it gives a defense boost at higher levels, but I think that might be wrong?

I'm going to try it but yeah it seems underwhelming compared to Cloak which is pretty OP in PvP.

i think blur is fun to mess around with, during the last fewinutes of beta i max'd out my blur and just ran in circles

That would be really broken, especially since it already stacks with Escape Artist, which at Rank 3 provides you with another 45% speed. Already at 95% extra speed (with both of those up), it's way too fast.
