Nice try, but it does not work here. Even if you win and do intercede for Charlie [which I very doubt, as politicians quickly forget their promises to the electorate], no one will listen to you. Charlie did not return. No need to make a promise that you will not be able to perform. Especially if you ask for something in exchange.
