(For those of you who ordered the game through Steam)
Excuse me if this question has already been asked, but when will we be able to download the game via Steam.
I completely understand that we are able to go to our Defiance accounts and download the game client from the website, but I'm wondering when we'll be able to download the game from Steam.
That'd be on launch day, because it's locked on steam till then.
Edit:
I should mention there is a workaround that involves copying the files into steam, but that wouldn't be downloading it directly from steam hence me leaving it out originally.
This is a question that answers have not been provided for. According to Sledgehammer (One of Defiance's Community Managers) they have made an effort to contact Steam to allow pre-loading but as of now there has been no action taken and judging by past experiences and the time left for them to take a course of action this option may not be available on time.
The best thing I can recommend is to follow my guide for pre-loading inside the steam folders so once Steam gets everything working as intended the files will be ready to go.

I also downloaded the client available and fully updated it to the point I can get to the menu and after it attempts to connect it says the Service is Not Available at this time (Server Not Live) and gives me the options to Try Again or Quit.
Is there anything else I need to do to be able to play the game when it comes out and recieve all the preorder bonuses from the Ark Codes, Preorder and Steam Preorder?
Doesn't seem like anyone is touching up on the subject.
Like, will i have to implement the codes again on a menu?
Will it be linking the game account with your steam account?
Will I have to redownload the game through steam?
steam just downloads the launcher anyway, the launcher itself is what downloads the client.

unless you mean you've already downloaded hte client through the launcher and trying to start the client and getting that error. in which case yeah the servers aren't up yet.

Nope, looks like you're good to go bud. The only issue you may run into if you're using my method is steam not getting their issues resolved by launch. With that being the worst case all you'll need to do is navigate to the folder you downloaded everything in and run the Patcher.exe

There's ALWAYS something, lol.
No, you have no need for concern about these issues. All Steam will do is link up with the Patcher.exe to bring up the launcher which will link up with the game files in the Live folder. It's not connecting your steam account to your trion account in any way, shape, or form.
