    Killing Nim

Quick question - I have not yet defeated Nim. I've left him until I had enough ego (at 3100 now.) Will I be able to play the DLC missions or will I have to defeat Nim before I can move on to new content?

If the test server was any indication, you won't need to kill Nim to experience any of the DLC content.
Just so you know, there aren't *that* many new missions in the DLC. Much of it is new world events and new loot.

Thanks. I really don't want to rush on Nim as when I do go back I'm going to destroy him! I first met up with him when I was at level 868 and he just devastated me at each encounter!!

The best strategy is to always be moving. Attack, run, heal, avoid, and all that. Beyond that, you'll read all kinds of strategies as to how to beat him. Good luck when you go again. Oh and use the Volge as practice.

This guy should know-absolutely rules at PvP if yesterday is any indication. BTW, for Nim I used a BMG/Detonator, pyro grenade, cloak, and a respark shield. Jackleg Joe was much more tedious than Nim, but one mistake with Nim is all it takes.

Just don't stop moving. I beat him the first encounter, i used the pillars as a shield when he would levitate in the air using his slam AOE attack.

Thanks to all for the advice on taking on Nim. I have made notes and will employ the majority of suggestions in different strategy groupings.

This would be my suggestion, as well...

I used cloak, a respark, and a detonator with manual sticky grenades the ones that drop the little cluster bombs...and shot wildly around the room mostly but it did work.

hey look at this i have killed nim 3 times now and can tell you at the lvl you are you are good to go. first nim uses blur so use it on him and a pump shotty. i use a vot pump with electric to stun and trust me it works, take a bmg just incase he hits you. but its pretty easy. when he comes at you with his twins, keep to cover but go at them HARD untill you find the real nim, nail him and keep this up. when he gose up top to do that lazer shower thing hit your blur and run around the room they should all miss you but bmg just for that when he hits the ground go back at him and down he will go. when you get to the 3rd fight with nim its going to be you him and this glass thingy in the middle of the room keep that between you and him. he will do some flot crap and fire a gun so be on the other side of the glass for this, when he dose the gound pound thing wait till he hits the gound at a distance! then go back at him. this way should only take you 6 to 8 min. i hope this helps.
