Are they ready for the extra load?

I play on the PS3 and on a normal weekend I get cut off about every 10 to 15 minutes. The extra load seems to cause crashes and disconnects. Is TRION taking any extra steps to prevent this when the DLC drops on Tuesday?

He does have a point though.

We've already tested the dlc on PC and all worked okay.

No idea what is going to happen when it hits the consoles but you have to remember that a few people from the studio they just closed are moving to Redwood so any issues that do come up may not be fixed instantly.

That goes for PC as well as consoles.

That seems like a safe bet.

Now now. I really hope they bring their A-game tomorrow. It's just that they crashed over the weekend, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Maybe a community manager will stop by and say differently. Either way, you'll find out one way or another.

I'm expecting lagging servers due to more people getting on to play sieges, new arkfalls etc. Also I'm a bit doubtful concerning how the new stuff will run.

Did you guys have more than a dozen people at any Arkfalls or Sieges on the test server? Most of the videos I've seen were skimpy on players participating at either. I'm sure that CORE got a good number together, but probably nowhere near what normal would be for the game being live.

To be honest, and putting all arguments about the quality of the content aside, what I tested on the PTS worked pretty well.

Didn't seem to have many issues and it was stable enough during Arkfalls when quite a few folk turned up.

Pretty sure they should be able to get it working right on the consoles. Not going to start a console war (we all know i'm a spokesperson for the Master Race anyway so it would be biased) but Trion have had slight issues with our console cousins before.

I do hope it goes smooth for the folks using them though. They waited a while for this content to drop and it would be a shame for it to cause problems.

A couple of times there were quite a few turn up depending what time of day but I wouldn't say it was huge numbers compared to what you'd see on the live servers.

Couldn't guess at numbers due to the normal pop in and out of player characters on screen but it looked like a healthy number.

But no, not the kind of numbers you'd normally see so there could be issues but i'm hoping not.
