Everyone is gonna freak out at lack of story line. Trion can't win. They made everyone wait too long. It doesnt bother me I play every day anyway. But you heard it here first folks. The screaming will start almost as soon as the servers go back up.

Scream all they want too, it doesn't stop others from paying for stuff.

All the internet is really for is for finding information, and complaining into a void no one is listening to.

But yeah, I paid... what, $60 for the game, then $40 for the season pass? I'm still here, waiting to eat alive all the DLC I can get my hands on. Who cares if anyone complains? Especially when their money has already been harvested. ;0)

The real patch notes are pretty short actually. Most of that stuff is old updates, they didn't clean out the out dated information from previous patches. You'll enjoy the free version, and abhor the paid version.
