TV Tie-In Missions?

In a thread from earlier today or yesterday, someone mentioned "Tie-In Missions". I'm guessing these are the missions with Roland, etc that tie into the show's premiere on the 15th? I played the beta for a while and made it just to the second zone, but didn't see Roland at all. When/Where do these missions begin? i.e. How far in are you before they begin? Are they part of the main story line?

Can anyone give me a bit more detail?

Well firstly its Nolan not Roland and they're called Episode Missions.

One of them appeared in Mount Tam after about the 4th mission, the 2nd appeared in Marin after that mission.

I guess I just totally missed them! Weird. Oh well - one more thing to look forward to on Wednesday! (I ordered deluxe 360 edition from Amazon - they won't ship till Tuesday - grrrrr)

Here what going to happen. Every week or new major event happens in tv show will release for limited time missions wiyh uniuqe rewards. Which will effect tv show in return

there are a couple episode missions from the start itself and it's nolan not roland but in BWE3 i think this was disabled.

the episode missions are how nolan and irissa come across the terra spire crystal known as i think the lunar gem???? or some thing like that.... and u help them acquire it..... well actually they steal it from u u can see how this ties in with the tv series from the 14 min sneak peak of the 1st episode from SYFY

Lol he's getting Rolan confused with Nolan because Rolan is a character from Borderlands ;D

I am really hoping that the TV show is sensible enough to filter what goes on in the game with how it effects the show; there's always going to be that element that does their very best to try to ruin things.

I saw it briefly, between story missions, but then it disappeared. Are missions tied to a specific order? (EG: you must complete them between story missions or they disappear?) or do they only appear at certain times or what?

nah as long as u havent finished the epi missions they should be there afaik

The first one is just over the bridge before KTAM Radio station and I think its available anytime after you finish the snipers ridge mission. And if you watched the 16 minute preview of the show you actually see them use the item that you help them recover in the episode missions
