Shotgun Nerf Confusion

I just came back after a long break and see shotguns getting another nerf in this DLC update. Didn't we already have their mags lowered? How many times do we need this weapon nerfed? I primarily use pump shotguns and already have to deal with the reload time. Now I get less?

I've always been an AR/Shotgun player in every shooter I've played. I'm now finding it better to rush in with my assault rifle. It's already hard enough to dodge a good sniper for that shotgun charge. Now it seems pointless to even risk, "L2Snipe" keeps floating around my head.

I'm really not seeing how grossly overpowered they are when you compare them to other weapons. Then again, I mainly use only the AR/Shotgun combo. I would be extremely grateful if someone would who clear this up for me.

I almost feel like the stuff in the patch notes about the shotgun nerfs are actually old and have nothing to do with this patch. A lot of the stuff in the new patch notes are very old and has already been done so it wouldn't surprise me.

Seems kinda of pointless to rehash old patch notes into the new notes. :P
