Oh ok, some people were saying that you can change your xp roll with it or something.
They nerfed us hard with this latest update. I just maxed out the XP mastery on my legendary that used to take days to fill the bar, in just under an hour. Ouch.
You can make all the excuses you want. But you're the one who decided how to live your life.

It resets it so you can use the same weapon to get more ranks with the weapon skill. You used to have to throw away good weapons so you could do this. It is worth it for being able to keep decent weapons. Once you reset the mastery on the weapon it also keeps the bonus you got from levelling it, but it will not give you anymore. Some people though have found that it has sometimes changed to a different one when they reset it, but they may have fixed that by now
