Why did volge emergency drops get nerfed?

the next livestream they should drive the raptor to volge emergencys and see how many blues they get.
On the live server not their own closed setup.

I think the fact that they (OverloadUT) do/does NOT drive the Raptor is not an oversight.

There's only so much time in a Live Stream, and it's already packed with Rift, Game giveaways to people who already have the game, and O/UT dieing. Trying to shoehorn driving the Raptor in?

Heh... might as well stand on the side of the road and wait for an A-fall to pass by.

So another week of playing and we still see that the volge emergency drops are nerfed, yet they claim they're not. Is this going to be like with the Volge LMG? after all, you told us it dropped and it was just rare yet we knew that it didn't drop and it took quite a bit of time for you to admit it. As I understand it, they use the same drop tables for Viscera/trooper/bomber in instances and sieges.
And since 30 Viscera (etc) in a siege can't drop 30 purples, they nerfed the loot tables so siege-Viscera wouldn't drop loot. Which reflects back to instance Viscera dropping nothing too.

1.) Why cant they just admit that?

2.) Why cant they just admit that they aren't able to use 2 loot tables, or don't want to use 2 loot tables and adjust them accordingly?

I suspect that during the live-stream before the last siege they're going to have a revelation and say 'Oh, That's the way we meant it to be... '.

the way it is now there is no reason for me to do anything but avoid those emergencys.

Do people actually do any of the other emergencies for that matter?

I was under the impression that nothing had changed in regards to the original emergencies since the patch months ago that made them nothing more than a PITA for anyone trying to get from point A to point B.

Just gotta make sure lots of people explicitly state volge emergenciy drops have dropped to almost nil. If we yell loud enough maybe we can at least get them to admit they f'd up.

This is exactly what happened.

If they had left it alone people would love sieges, and road side emergencies. People would look forward to running into roadside encounters with Volge.

Really stuggling with a downside here, anyone have one?

Yeah, actually, one.
If Viscera dropped blues with an occasional purple than the troopers would be ignored to a larger extent and free to take the cap points as people vied for the 2nd purple or 6th blue from a stream of viscera.

Why hold the caps, get a score over 20K and get a blue and maybe a purple when you could let the Volge run the place and just harvest Viscera for loot instead?

Human nature being what it is... and never failing to disappoint...

As the stages progress troopers are replaced by Viscera almost entirely. I would think people would be more inclined to progress to higher stages in the siege for that very reason.
