Why hold the caps, get a score over 20K and get a blue and maybe a purple when you could let the Volge run the place and just harvest Viscera for loot instead?

I think if you went after viscera only, you'd have a very hard time getting 20k in a siege. And personally I always get a purple for hitting 20k, but have never gotten one off a viscera or any other open world enemy drop even before the volge loot table nerf.

I agree - I've always gotten a purple for hitting 20k. The only other place I got a purple was from a golden skitterling in the Arena.

And you'd be correct if not for the evidence we already have of people starting a siege with no one else, or only 1 to 2 people there to defend. Rarely do you get to the higher stages when half the clock is already run out by the time enough people get there to run through the stages quickly. You might get to 20K plus with little trouble, but you prolly wont get passed stage 6 if you're the 3rd person to show up and there is only 7 minutes left on the clock.

The evidence also points to the difference between the people who wait to use the hulk-juice (and score big when there are targets to hit) and the people who trigger it with no targets and use it just to run quickly to the next stim-station.

You get people who trigger the juice because if they don't - somebody else will anyway. By extension, if they don't do for the Viscera exclusively - somebody else will anyway. That leaves 'The Suckers' to do the troopers, and the folks who want the loot do the Viscera. Human nature for many.

    Similar example of human nature:
Many people don't trigger the turrets because some sucker will, why should they? Been to my share of sieges where I set all the turrets to max, and run 'A' for 6 or 7 stages, only to get to 'B' and find none of the turrets set, or only set to the first level on 1 out of 3.

    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

You're right, I get frustrated every time Someone is being selfish in these instances. Its like teamwork is only on their minds when they need a revive. *sigh*

The funniest thing about the emergency loot drop for volge is the following quote from siege master.

    Here's his exact quote.

    3) Because the Volge in sieges appear in massive numbers compared to emergencies the volge in sieges have a lowered drop rate. This is so that the volge in emergencies didn't get *their* loot table nerfed.

Yet you actually get more item drops at a siege than you do at an emergency now that used to always drop at least a green item at the last enemy though more often than not would actually drop a blue.

So why are we seeing less drops from the emergencies if they didn't nerf it?

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I'm assuming someone f'd up and assigned the siege loot table(I.E. practically nil) to the emergency Volge and the emergency loot table to the seige volge.

They are prolly still unaware the drops at emergencies have been nerfed even though we've told them many times and this thread is still kicking around.
It seems the only thing you get around here from holding their feet to the fire is a bad smell.

Btw I thought it was funny when they finally drove the raptor in the live stream they admitted it kind of sucked in the notes after.
    Finally.
Perhaps around dlc 4.5 it will get a tune up.

Sieges aren't emergencies. Emergencies are the random encounters on the roads (Blow Up The Volge, Echelon and the Volge, The Volge Await, Volge and Miners, Volge on E-Rep Camp, Volge at the E-Rep Checkpoint and Volge Raider Raid). It's before my time, but before the Volge Sieges were implemented, apparently the emergencies use to have a better loot pool. I wasn't aware until I read it here but I get nothing, or a white or green. I may have occasionally gotten a blue (I don't really recall), but I've never gotten a purple.

The Mk IV is orange. The bonuses are always the same and there is apparently only one synergy.

    for the record:
Before the sieges I would hit volge emergencies and get blue drops 7 out of 10 times.
Since the sieges I get nothing 7 out of 10 times.

They say they play but if they do at all it can't be much for them not to recognise that this happened and that it sucks for the game.
