My EGO device uncharacteristically mentioned something about unleashing some ultraviolence near the Bolinas processing plant.
It was so uncharacteristic for here, I assumed it was a reference/easter egg, but the only thing I could think of was a Clockwork Orange although that is quite a stretch.

    This.

The data recorders are not 'easter eggs', they're actually part of the Pursuits in the game. Easter eggs are entirely different.

What is an easter egg? Well let's ask Wiki:

Easter Eggs, in the Internet and other realms stands for hidden things.
From special scenes in games or videos, to hidden text or information elsewhere.
In games, there may be special moves or codes to be entered for access to special screens.
The reference is to the tradition of children searching for hidden decorated eggs on the Easter Holiday.
These need to be searched out, and while many are easily visible, many are hidden well.

Now stop trolling and use your time on finding cool stuff for the rest of us instead of doing this sheeit!

I think people are/were expecting to see things like the Goonies reference and random things we may have missed. Not items we are required to find in order to complete pursuits.

This is your thread. Have fun with it. But don't expect people to contribute their finds to it when you call everyone a troll.

So basically anything can be called an Easter Egg in the game? Even things which are required for Pursuits? I found this thing called an Arkfall...fell right out of the sky! -)

Semi-easter-eggish: There are wild animals in the game. Squirrels that follow you around, bunny rabbits (the non-lethal types), and a deer near a pond! -)

And I can swear that some of the terrain rocks/cliffs have the initials of peoples' names in them...take a look some time! -)

I love how this day in age on the interwebs you are now a troll for questioning someone's definition, wether its wrong or right?

Oh wait I'm chirping in to, I must be a troll!

Back on topic: no Easter eggs found yet as I'm still waiting on amazon UE

One of the quests later in the game is called "Yes, disassemble!" this is a reference to the awesome film Short Circuit.

An Easter Egg in our society HAS to make a pop-culture reference in order to b considered one...that's Easter Egg101.
