Whelp folks, it's been fixed. New worlds have been added and new character restrictions lifted on all but about 7 worlds combined between Japan & N.A.

So log on, tell your friends, and enjoy the game!

actually my friend told me that the last two days she saw her well known friend again error ..017. today I read several threads in the FF XIV forum that people had once again trouble signing in, some of them didn´t even make it to the waiting queue.

I do understand that there are problems at the beginning, but it is a re-launch and now these problems should have been fixed., obviously someone at SE didn´t do their homework.

100% sure as of 10:00am this morning (Est.) That may have well changed since then, it's now 2:20pm
However another error has been hitting a few people who gets disconnected or log outs. This error communicates with the server you are still logged in, when you in fact or logged out. Usually it corrects itself with in a half hour. There are those who claim to have been stuck with it for 24hrs.....funny because the servers haven't been back on that long.

EDIT: Also you have to keep in mind, yes this is a relaunch, but the relaunch now includes the PS3 on the same servers as the PC. So while effectively you could say it should be figured out already, they know have a whole new user database that's now playing their game.

EDIT #3. Yes you are correct, looks like they blocked new characters again on a large number of Worlds. Maybe so they don't have a repeat of nobody being able to log in.

Granted i am not on every night but have had issues at launch and a few days last week but overall connecting has not been too big of an issue. Still on a EU server however not NA

Finally found a copy and ironically, it was hiding behind a whole bunch of defiance boxes that were gathering dust. Looks like someone didn't have money quite yet and hid it behind something no right thinking gamer should touch. Suffice to say, I sat down to check it out after the servers came back up...intending to only play a hour since it was late...when I looked up, it was 6 hours later. I am impressed. Well off to sub three months and uninstall defiance right after. LOL.

the servers were upgraded on Wednesday. I have characters on NA, EU and JP servers. JP were most reliable until Wednesday. I played on both my EU and NA accounts yesterday. Get off this sinking ship while you can lol

Defiance will never become a great game. They already cut 99% of the team and shut down the main office. Spending money on a bonifide flop is stupid anyways. Kill funding, fire everyone, and move on to the next scam; done and done!

Anyways, FF 14 is extremely addicting and fun so far. I rate it 9.5/10 after 60+ hours now. One thing I have to say is....the UI, it's bloody brilliant and there is so many options it's staggering; the UI is not *** backwards like....Defiance. And to think they are going to allow people to mod it further too in the future.
