Patch Error - "Account is not entitled to play Defiance"

Also when you do get the patcher run it as administrator by right clicking on it in the defiance folder.

Goforce; thx for the info. Makes sence that you shouldn't need any keys from Triom as they must know who did or did not buy what.

I am downloading pre-order now w/o key, but could not do it an hour ago.

The GM I just spoke with told me that only people who pre-ordered through Trion will get to pre-load the game and others will get to download the game on release.

The GM I spoke with yesterday told me that pre-loading will be done in waves before release.

I wish I could get a refund at this point because I don't like being misinformed/lied to, but I hope the information is more forthcoming in the future from Trion.

I pre-ordered from trion I have the same issue as others,I am sitting in que waiting for some support,I have tried the fixes mentioned and no luck.

I have not received any code yet either,I can see that my pre-order is there but not the game.

The fact that Trion is already screwing this up right now it is simcity lite,If tomorrow comes and I still can not even download the client I will be seeking my money back.

Little more information on this. If you've only received 1 key from G2play and you're getting this error, you've most likely only received the 'preorder' key, and not the full game key. I've contacted Trion support, which confirmed that my single key was only the 'preorder' key.

I've contacted G2play and I'm waiting for their response. I'll let you guys know what they say.

G2play told me to take a screenshot of the conversation where they state its only the preorder key, you should try and do that.

A bit over 9 hours until launch and this still isn't resolved. Sledge even appears to be about and hasn't bothered to make a statement.

I'm having a hard time believing that the Defiance team is part of Trion. I'm used to a Trion that goes above and beyond, and to see one of their games going into launch under a veil of silence and with these issues is rather alarming.

I've done everything now (made screenshots etc). G2play got back to me and has confirmed they had an issue with their supplier. They will contact me again tomorrow, hopefully with a proper play key.
