If the Devs want to save themselves a lot of problems they should put this in the launcher splash screen. A lot of players do not read the Forums and many will be sure to have this issue when the servers open.

So to be safe besides uninstalling the Beta and Alpha I also uninstalled something called DefianceRuntimes.

This did not work for me though. Is it because I preordered from gamestop and won't be able to download until I get my product code? I did enter my preorder code already.

Edit OK from what I read this is the case. Iv'e no problem waiting to play still it would have been nice to pre download the game. Maybe the disk will have the game but more likely it will just have the launcher. Well see you in game tomorrow then.

Those that got the ultimate edition got the proverbial shaft, and do not get to join in on the "early " launch pre-load, shows how much Trion shows their appreciation for those who support them the most , feeling like they don't even care about thier loyal customer base anymore ..

With this in mind I can tell you that I will need to be issued a refund for the purchase of Defiance.

Simply put, I only get 20GB of Bandwidth a month. I pay $10 for each GB over that 20.

I have no other option for internet services aside from dialup where I live. As a result, the 10-13GB download of Defiance is not something I can handle AGAIN this month or next. I just downloaded the beta client for advanced mission beta because of prior experience with the Rift Beta working for the Live client.

Can you guys please contact me to arrange a refund?

1) If you want to work on getting a refund, you need to do the legwork and contact Customer Service directly.

2) It's not their thoughtlessness, but your own. If you only have limited bandwidth then you should have had the presence of mind to buy a physical copy rather than digital. It's no secret that the digital version means that you have to download the entire game.
