Here is my opinion, and why I didn't buy it.

For the paid conntent you get:

The Castithan race: Not a huge thing. Sure, they're my favorite Defiance race, but the in-game races are purely cosmetic. To top it off, the moment you get more than a dozen people together in one spot, the game engine starts rendering everyone as the basic human model because it can't handle the individual rendering of everyone's custom characters. To me, that makes the race even more useless.

Charge Blade: No interest unless I was actually going to make a Castithan race. To me, that would be like using a Bowcaster without playing a Wookiee in Star Wars.

New Vehicle: Played with it on the test server. Slow, annoying, and handles like a brick in mud.

Arenas: Basically a solo instance that equals Rampage + Hotshot + timer.

Everything else is in the game for free, or available only via the Bits Shop. So, unless those four things appeal to you, save the $10. If they do appeal to you, then by all means puchase the DLC.

Thanks for the Feed back, and Really great advice, I've Decided not to get it. I'll just use these 10 bucks for a steam sale or something lol.

if you ever played Resident Evil games then you'll know this ref, the arena side story line is a lot like mercenaries. you fight hords that are broken into waves and at the end you get a free Charge blade. or you could get one sooner by gaining rep in each stage to buy a stronger one from the rep shop. i just got my blade and i'm loving it. i was hoping all through Beta for a better way to Melee in this game and the Charge Blade is much better then hitting creatures with your gun.

In the episode The Bride Wore Black in Season One, Datak pulled his charge blade on MacCawley at the Need/Want.

MacCawley, completely unimpressed, said to him: "Oh, please," and moved his coat to reveal his gun.

Datak stood there, staring at him and looking stupid.

Even a Castithan is smarter than to bring a charge blade to a gunfight.

yet they are the must have of just about every player. the area where you get them is just about packed except for those who already got one.
