DLC Preorder - select the DLC-s you want

Its considered a season pass- however it clearly says 5 DLC-s (one low cost).

However there is high possibility for more then 5 to be released within a season.
How about making it a 5 DLC (1 low cost) instead of time limit (or u get 5 low-med dlc-s then suddenly 6th will be a major one you still have to pay for).

Watching the recent interview with devs, i noticed about possible PVP DLC-s.

I don't PVP, i bought the game and DLC due to the PVE (and its been everywhere aty forums that its mainly a PVE game).
So why would i have to automatically get stuck with a PVP DLC that i never use.

There will only be five paid DLCs, and this "Season Pass" will grant you access to all five, hence the name "Season Pass".

The rest will be free until the next season.

This is exactly why I didn't get the Season pass. I don't pvp either, so I don't want to pay for something I won't use. I feel the same way about a new playable species, when basically it's just a new model/skin, and nothing new gameplay wise. I'll pick and choose as things become available.

Ubisoft does the same thing with the Assassin's Creed season pass, mixes PvE/PvP content with one pass. It's just the nature of the beast. I can see new PvE/PvP content being added in every DLC, much like WoW adding new game types and maps with expansions. I have nothing to base it on. Just a feeling.

No matter how the DLC is served, I really enjoyed AM3 beta on ps3. I'm getting the Ultimate edition from GameStop which comes with the Season Pass PLUS I get my employee discount. I'm set.

what it seems is that alot of people are still new with MMo's and how DLC works with them it's not like CoD or Halo DLC that they only give you PvP maps. with the season pass you'll get the 5 major DLC and everything else in season 1 will be free DLC.I got thisjust by googling Defiance Season pass. Also posted what the link says.

"Trion has posted details on a season pass for Defiance, its MMO-meets-a-TV-show project in conjunction with SyFy. The season pass will cost players $39.99 and enable access to the game's first five DLC packs, which will include a new playable alien species, along with lots of new weapons, vehicles, missions, and other rewards. Plus, pass buyers get two bonus items: a digital Hellbug combat cap, and an extra Lock Box (which is a sealed container in the game for a chance at another item).

The $39.99 is in addition to the game's initial purchase price ($59.99, or $99.99 for the deluxe edition). Defiance won't have a subscription fee, and this price is 20 percent off what the DLC will cost in total.

The Defiance game will be launched on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on April 2, while the TV show will start on April 15."

just because one DLC package has a new race, or new PvP options, doesn't mean that that's all that will be included in it. there will likely be something tailored for everyone.

It's similar to what Gearbox have done with Borderlands 2 - there is a Season Pass that covers 4 main DLC packs but that is all. There have been other DLC released such as Mechromancer and Creature dome that you still have to pay for if you want them as they are not covered by the season pass. A season pass for a game should not be considered as a one time fee for all DLC that will be released over a set period of time.

Although I am very tempted, even have the Steam discount, I'll pass on this. So far I have no idea what could be in there that I really must have. If there actually should be something in there I want, tough luck. Starting a new job May 1st which means little time for gaming and more cash if I do.
