Me too. I have bought 2 copies of this game at full price and recently another when it dropped to 10. While I may have a lot of complaints for the loot system and other issues with PVP, I have had a lot of fun.

I was in the alpha and beta weeks before I purchased the preorder. Why, when I knew I was getting an unfinished product with insufficient content?

Simple, I already had more than enough fun to warrant spending those few dollars to support the developers and show my appreciation for the effort.

Well, they then fired half the team and I knew that I would not get much more out of the game. So be it. It was fun while it lasted.

That's a typical software company move when you fail to make a critical deadline. If they fired the right half the team, it can be helpful.

LOL @ this thread. Why would they give anyone anything for purchasing it at full price? Stores don't hook you up when you buy products at full price then they put it on sale. Walmart would be out of business with all the rollbacks. Your reparations are the fact that you got to play the game for longer than the people that paid the discounted price. Common sense folks.

The point is, this game dropped to $10 in 4months well other more **** games like COD are still $60 after 3 years, I would be ok with the game dropping price in as short as a year but having me pay $60 when the game comes out then drop the price to $10 in 4 months just seems like a scam. If you were going to make the game $10 in 4months, just release it at $10 and not piss off your customers. The money I spent on this game was not worth it.

But this is not uncommon for Trion so far.

When Rift launched in 2011, by the third month of launch they were consolidating servers and it was already $9.99 at retail (and included the first month of $14.99 subscription for free, as usual).

After Rift, and now Defiance, the lesson is learned: Never purchase a Trion Worlds game at launch. It'll drop by around 82% in MSRP a couple of months later.

I cant tell if you are serious or not..
They didnt lower prices out of luxury. When you make a huge investment in a product and it simply put doesnt sell enough to even break even, you promote it more but at some point advertisement alone doesnt do the job. So you start to lower your prices in hope to attract more customers. Often to a point to just minimize your losses.
The game costed roughly 70m to create , unlike Warduke claims, the game didnt even break even. Even if all copies sold where sold for $60 and sold ~1m copies, they would still be in the red by 10m, just for the cost of development alone.
    No sleep, no dreams.
    No pain, no joy.
In this state of unbeing I ask myself..
    Was I ever innocent?

The OP seems to have forgotten about the preorder incentive that was listed with this game. Everyone who pre-ordered the game before launch received a red Dodge Challenger which is currently still the fastest vehicle in the game. Paying full price for a new game after release doesn't warrant any type of special recognition, however being a loyal customer should.

I think it would be more reasonable to ask for something extra if you purchase "$X.XX" amount of Bits from a certain period of time, for instance you receive a top hat with a monocle if you bought 800 Bits between the 1 and the 15th of a particular month during a special promotion.

Still, no one should get anything "special" just because they shat out $60 for the game right after it came out. If anyone deserves anything extra, it should be everyone who bought the Season Pass and are being screwed over more or less on content and all we got was a crappy hat with a washed out texture of a hellbug on it. Yay...

MY PARENTS JIGGLED AND SQUIGGLED AND I DIDN'T KILL THEM I PROMISE! They called me INSANE! No, I am not insane! I am throat-scratch! I am the pants! I... am... RAKKMAN!
