Yes, disruptors are no longer junk to be broken down or sold on sight. SAWs (and now Thunders) are still top dog in the LMG category.

Can anyone confirm if fire rate rolls actually increase the fire rate of the Disruptor?

They do, but just a tiny bit.

I have one with no fire rate bonuses, and another with a double fire rate bonus. The second one fires the actual three-round burst just a tad faster, but nothing dramatic.

I dislike thunders only because the accuracy is worse unless you hold down the trigger. Its good for sieges and arkfalls tho I suppose..

I'm not online to look, but I'm pretty sure the DPS of the Disruptor is one of the lowest in game. Am I wrong?

It is one of the worst, if not the worst. The one in my inv. is 1134.6 (which doesn't include the pause) and it has a 1.03xfire rate, and 1.05x damage bonus.

Well who cares about dps when you're coming in first place :P

I got first the other day using nothing but a grind fragger... does that now mean the grind fragger was a good choice? lol no. I means that I played better than the other people, or simply spent more time there. Had I chosen a better weapon I would have gotten even higher. (btw the grind fragger is a beast :-P with its 3875 dps (w/ bonuses))

What I'm basically saying is that if you put a disruptor and just about any other similar weapon in the hands of an equally skilled player, under the exact same conditions, the other weapon will preform better. That said, use whatever weapon makes you giggle :-)
