Indeed. The queues are very long at all times.

The queue system is poor, as an aside, as you should be able to queue for all maps like in Rift and then just activate one of them when there is a match made, compared with this that allocates people out to wait and wait in a single map.

Irrespective, most people don't seem to like the PVP in Defiance. It's good but prone to cheats/bugs/etc which means you see something you find curious at least every few matches.

What's happening actually is that shadow wars are siphoning the whole pvp player base. Since they're so easy to start now, you're almost guaranteed to get in immediately when joining one. Most people would rather have PvP start fast than start on their preferred map, so they just end up playing shadow wars all day long.

They keep breaking weapons, and the dailies have been ones I don't bother with lately.

Although as mentioned, I do see shadow wars pretty frequently. It is nice to join at the end for some free keys.

This is exactly it. I'm really at a loss as to why Trion has such an awful PvP setup in this game, but RIFT has it right. It blows my mind that those two games were developed by the same company.
Retired. Already proved myself as a top PvP player.
Now playing games that actually have PvP.
