I don’t know why, but reading those three in a row made me think of the truck from Kill Bill, maybe that's the paint job it needs lol

The Raptor's Health/Shields should increase for each person in the vehicle :-)

How the Raptor should have been, Note, while you drive it the 1977 era music MUST play!!!

Interestingly, 36 years ago that movie was basically the Defiance World, it even had hellbugs. Ah, the days of my youth, when I payed 50 cents to see that movie in the theatre.

I was close friends with Roger Zelazny before his death in 1995. His Chronicles of Amber inspired me to first start writing at age 12, and if not for his friendship and guidance, not sure if I would ever have made it.

He actually hated that Damnation Alley movie. He used to say the only good thing to come of that film was that they actually paid him for the rights. Sidebar: He also hated the novel version of the story that he did at his agent's request, and much preferred the original novella edition. But as he always said: he eventually went into novel writing because short stories (his preferred medium) and novellas did not pay the bills.

And yes, every time I read about the Defiance Storm Divide, I can't help but think of it as a Damnation Alley rip off. It's basically what they had to survive going from California to Boston with the medicine.

I also see parts of his novel, This Immortal, in Defiance as well. Not surprising, though, since the novel tied with Dune in 1966 for the Hugo.

Funny, Sol Yurick hated the movie The Warriors and said the only good thing about it was the part in the opening credits that said "based on the novel by Sol Yurick"

I'm sorry, but unless the +1.0 the Raptor gets over the Duni for boost speed actually makes it the 2nd fastest car, that statement is untrue. If you take into consideration that it has lower boost amount, slower refill, lower top speed, not to mention lower damage, and lower HP, You will clearly reach your destination faster with EVERY other car in the game up to this point.

    Hi!

I'm here - I do other things so sometimes threads take a while to get back to me. :P

Mind you, I'm not defending the car - if you don't like driving it, by all means don't. And the feedback on wanting it to feel different is valid (and already in with the team.) I don't remember the exact quote from Trick so this isn't verbatim but we were talking about how big the car is and how it takes (forever is hyperbole but what I used) to get to speed. You guys know how I drive - fits and spurts. It's definitely not my kind of vehicle. I always ride as a passenger.

VOLGE FOV surpasses sniper field of view by far. loll if you hit a volge roadblock with your car and don't have the patience to fight them... well unless you have cloak or decoy at a hand; you may as well kiss your *** goodbye x2 as they seem to have an extended range farther then dark matter snipers (which i used to complain about being able to snipe you outside their own range)

anyway volge roadblocks have taken over and it ruins race events far worse then monarchs but go figure ITS DEFIANCE
