Yea, I was an alpha tester for Tabula Rasa but never played on release. None of my friends wanted to play it. and I didn't want to play alone.

I've played both games quite a bit. Besides both of them being MMOs with a sci-fi setting and guns, I really feel Tabula Rasa and Defiance have almost nothing in common.

I must say that I am a Veteran of the Bane Wars and have enjoyed Defiance more than I can tell you. Yes, the similarities and differences are apparent, but I get the feeling that Defiance was inspired by TR.
