Upping my Seige Scores
Can I get some people tips on raising my seige scores? (if there's a test shard post which covers this point me there)
I enjoy the seiges, different feel than the Afflicted seiges, but IMHO they are working pretty well.
I show up as early as I can, usually find a good spot and start blasting away, I'm doing my part burning down the volge advancing on the Cap points, and enjoying myself. But... so far I havent scored higher than about 6500. I know I'll never reach top tier but I know 10k for the pursuit is VERY doable.
Usually I can find a spot with some elevation where I can hit both a spawn point (or two) and also one of the cap points. THis works well, I can rain down fire as they spawn and also hit the ones that spawned elsewhere as they reach the Cap point to defend it. This works best for me on the more crowded seiges, there if I try to sun from point to point things go down before I get there. On the low pop seiges, well there you have no choice but run around and help where your needed.
I don't want to turn this into a Weapons discussion, talking strategy/tactics only.
So, what do I need to do to up my scores? Stand on the flag? Get better at running around? Tag every volge? Focus fire till their dead and move on? Hit the Vicera last/first? Upgrade the turrets? Or Not?
Am I missing out on points by focusing on Killing Volge?

What ego power are you using? I think if you upgrade one of the turrets you can up your points a bit. Also capping and getting kills is better than assists. Going for the bigger guys always helps with points, but the little ones can destroy you if you leave them alone.

You gotta get there first and don't die or run out of ammo ( there's perks for this) also use a saw or tack mag or vbi ar they do lots of damage and have good sizes mags that's what I used and got 22k at the end so yea hope it helps

I found that healing is a good way to get a decent score. I managed to be first on a siege without firing a single shot. get a bmg and try it out. you'll gain healing assist points for every enemy a player you healed kills.

I've done fairly decently just by running around and trying to kill as many of them as possible. I've used AR's, BMG's, and Infectors -- best results with AR's, because I've spent more time with them and have them at a decent level, but BMG's get some halfway decent points also if you're lucky enough to link to a couple. You also do get points for healing people sometimes -- I forget exactly what it's called, some kind of "Heal Assist" or something.
Don't know how much (if at all) the turrets help, but I still try and upgrade them when ever I can.
I think the assist/kill points are all based on how much damage you do to a Volge when it dies, so the more damage you can get in, the better off you should be. When I've used the AR's, I was normally scoring about 10K (think 13K was my top), but if you've got anything with good damage and good fire rate, just plug the heck out of everything and you should do decently.

I generally get 15-16k on average. I do see a handful getting in the low 20's quite often.

What I do is equip a VBI Assault Rifle, Overcharge it, get some perks to increase Overcharge effectiveness, try getting all turrets on max level (it's quite impressive how many turrets are only level one and no one even bothers leveling them up) and shoot like there's no tomorrow. Also, always aim for the head.
Yesterday I joined a siege on Stage 6 and still managed to get top spot in the end with like 19k points.

Heal Assist gives me about 650-950 per kill on the Biggest Siege guys...cant remember their names, Viscera? But i noticed a Cap Kill or whatever that thing is called gives thousands of points per kill. I think its best to let them try and take your flag and kill them when they are shooting their red lighting at it. I get the most points then.

Turrets help a lot.
Keep trying different weapon combos. So far I've found a good AR paired with a good AOE weapon like the Big Boomer will rack up a ton of damage and points. And have another loadout ready to switch to so you can snipe from a distance.
