Yeah lol I got a sniper two days ago and then the shotty with siphon last night both from the darkfall
Good to see I'm not the only one lagging, it's not good in the sense that you're suffering with me but that it's a known problem and is hopefully getting fixed. I can't even do Minor Arkfalls, I can't heal, I can't switch weapons, I can't even open up my inventory half the time. Been happening for a couple days now. It was fine when the DLC came out but since yesterday it's been ridiculous.
This is why I purchased Defiance for PC during the steam summer sale, cuz I'm sick of Defiance on Xbox.... It looks like garbage, runs like garbage, and PC is the master race.....
Not that it matters, but I'll provide the details 1B63 mentions:
Xbox NA server
Began yesterday around noon central time (for me)
Severe lag and packet loss. A good 2-3 second delay on any button press (refilling ammo, item pickups, weapon swap, menus, changing stances, trying to Sprint... You get the picture).
If there was a way in game to find the server IP, I would run ping and tracerts to it and see if it's the server or a POP in my routing. But all speed tests I perform to arbitrary sites come back clean (even with the game in the background.
I am having the same issues since the maintenance earlier today, cant shoot, reload, switch weapons, etc. This is all the time and anywhere in game, us xbox na. Checked with isp all is good on my end.
glad im not the only 1 having issues.

Anyone else having this problem?

here people if you want to know were the some of lag is coming from
do a tracert to google.com like this tracert -d google.com
then pick the first hop that is your CO = central office
if you have a router it will be your third hop you will know this because your first and second hops will be 1ms your going to want the one that shows a real time that will be between 5ms and 40ms
then do a ping on the ip like this ping -t 123.123.123.123 <--- that is the ip of the first hop
then what for a while if your ISP is really putting it to you, you see allot of 156ms and better all the way up to 800ms this is why some of you are having an issue.
I have set back and tested when you have said you had a problem and check and called when I found something to be a real outage issue...
some of you just have the MTU up to high on your routers
most of you can fix this
you can find this by doing this
ping google.com -f -l 1600 this is an instant fail for most ISP's
most ISP are set around 1465 so know this if you start there and this works move up 2 at a time till it fails then back off by one till it passes this is your max MTU.
Subtract 25 and set your routers to that number for your MTU this will resolve allot of issues
I sure Xbox needs a minimum of somewere around 1380 so dont drop it to low or you wont connect to XBL any more
The reason being it is like trying to poor water down a funnel faster then it will, you want to keep data moving and not fragmented and not jammed up, "like a LOG JAM as some out of date logging camp that need TNT to open it up now"
Now if you call your ISP they will have you do the flash speed test, this is dependent on three thing one being the slowest piece of hardware involved in the test. This test is the biggest piece of crap it is meant to convince you there is nothing wrong. the IT department does not even use this this is what network analyzers are for
Don't get me wrong that test will show you a ball park figure of speed just not a correct, or accurate one.
We pulled the test up on a 25mb fail over connection with a Power Edge Quad Core Xeon server it told us we had 100MB up and down. Flash has hardware acceleration enabled in most cases, right click on the test you will see what we are talking about it is all flash, it is a guestimate.
The big four out there are known for lag and top speeds you have have top speed and have very bad lag spikes for hours and hours and hours. They are notorious for this, the blame the customer your hardware your router your dog your cat and your pony if they can.
The more you pay the better it gets most of the time. I can say we have not been with our troubles we just had Cisco document lag issue on a full T1 DATA no voice, and not fractional mind you all dedicated DATA then we sent it back to the ISP today.
If someone knows the server IP for Xbox NA, please post it or private message me. If the one I found is correct I'm tracing around the globe (London and asianet?)... something ain't right here.
