DLC 2 on Friday's PAX livestream

I keep hearing this talk of marketing and PR - we're not in it for that. Yep, I have a background in both - but honestly? If you guys don't think this is important enough to keep on the front page then I'm going to agree with you.

Stickies are for important, pressing matters. Stuff like this? You can decide to keep it alive.

You guys are terrible at PR, as for marketing, kind of irrelevant at this point.

As for stickies being for important pressing matters... when a trion employee says something like game changing in regards to dlc 2 after your bumbling of DLC1. You don't see how that is "important" ?

And yet, as the face of Trion Worlds to the community, marketing and PR is exactly what you are, whether you or Trion wants to call it that or not.

An announcement of DLC-2 features being shown, as well as small but significant game changers to combat, is indeed a marketing announcement. And not a small one, either. It isn't the community's place to decide what is important, it is Trion Worlds place. Again, via competent marketing and key teasers to the community. I, too, have a degree in marketing, and am working on the Masters in business. This is basic undergraduate stuff.

Or is it that Trion Worlds doesn't see something that will change the way combat works in Defiance as important? If not, then now the time has definitely come to question Trion's commitment to the future of the game.

At this stage, I'm not sure if it is misplaced arrogance or just a simple lack of key experience, but that post is difficult to take seriously without a major shaking of the head.

Yeah. It just boggles the mind that such is an actual company stance. And since she represents Trion Worlds publicly, it must be an official stance on Defiance.

To get rid of "bunnies", use a sniper rifle and anticipate their movements. It's a lot easier to kill someone chain-jumping than someone chain-rolling.

Well i sure hope it's NOT a raid instance or a lobby system for arkfalls. I'll go play diablo if i want a lobby and i'll go play WOW if i want to raid (Sorry Trion i never could get into rift :P).

I am very excited to let you guys know that this Friday's livestream (which will be on the official Twitch channel) will feature live gameplay of some new DLC 2 stuff straight from our alpha servers.

We've been telling you recently that something we're trying to change going forward is bringing you guys more information sooner, and this is definitely one big result of that change. We haven't even shown this new content to any press or talked to anyone about it. It'll be the first time anyone outside the company has been shown or even told about this stuff.

(Somewhat) specifically, we'll be showing off a big new coop gameplay "event" (think Sieges, Arkfalls, etc) as well as a few small but substantial changes/additions to how pretty much all fights in Defiance will go down in the future. I know it's cheesy to use the term "game changer", but this is a case where it's appropriate. We're going to show you some things that are truly game changers. I'm not going to spoil what it is here but feel free to guess

HONESTLY. PR at this point is embarrassing. No one cares about DLC2 at this point, DLC1 is a horrible mess - especially on the PS3! These "PR" posts are disgusting. Do that on twitter. No one here is interested in this unless and until the glitches show progress in getting fixed. It's coming up on 2 weeks and so far? Not ONE THING has gotten fixed. The glitches go away and then come right back. Getting lagged out all the time, almost afraid to play but even if I stand still, after an hour I find I'm kicked off or had a hard freeze. Thankful that GTA V is coming out next week so I can go do that for awhile. Hopefully when I come back to Defiance, things will be better but I don't have any real faith in that happening. Don't get me wrong, I welcome more DLC, but do you want to play this new DLC with the horrible lag and disconnect problems?
