    What happened to THIS Defiance?

Who spilled western frontier in my sci-fi? Why couldn't we have had this? Maybe this is what's in store for DLC2.

    Good question.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Obviously they wanted to head away from the fantasy look that they had. That looks as far from scifi as it can get.

I do remember seeing a very early Defiance game that looked even worse.

It looks more apocalyptic now then in those pics.

I rather see more urban looking locations then forest/jungle. More building interiors. Would be cool to see land mass of ruined city in the likes of Kinship plaza, Serenity Academy, and the small city section in San Fran.

The only place that looks apocalyptic is San Fran. Madera/Sausalito/Marin don't seem like awful places to live.

but I've heard that Defiance used environmental assest from Rift in it's early stages, maybe that's what this was. But uh, what about the Tar Pit? I doubt they just completely scrapped locations.

Not the point. We're talking about LOOKS. That's what this whole thread is about.

To be fair. That kind of looks like the game we have now. Except some pictures show a forested areas, as well as the texture resolutions appearing higher.

Maybe that's what the game looked like before they had to butcher the graphics for it to work on PS3 and 360. lol

Would be nice if we got a forested area...And urban.
