Players having trouble with Volge emergencies

There are a lot of posts or even threads of players saying how the Volge kill them mercilessly. And I even see players having a hard time in-game.

So idk if this will help but I don't have a problem against them and this is what I do.

Mostly I use a over Charge build with a Disruptor/or Thunder. Or I sometimes switch to Cloak builed with sniper. But that doesn't really matter.

Anyway, you can determining you are coming up on a Volge emergency on your mini map because you will see a ammo crate displayed. Ever Volge emergency has a ammo crate. So it should nvr really be a surprise to run into one unknowingly. So with that it is easy to plan your approach to get the jump on them.

If you are on leveled ground against the Volge then they are going to have home field advantage against you. So many times I watch players fight the Volge on flat ground and they get shot up or run around in circles tediously behind objects to combat against them.

If there is one thing the TV series showed us about the Volge is that you should be at a elevated position to fight them. They always push forward where as other enemy types are content with shooting at a distance or put distance between you and them when you get to close. Since the Volge are always pushing forward to get you makes them not good at scaling vertical terrain since they need to find the mapping/route to make it up a hard to navigate hill. During this time they get flustered between shooting at you and trying to find a route to pursue you, often they will scale back down to shoot at you then try to find route to pursue you, and this leaves major openings to shoot them. Not only that but they move very slow. So by the time they found their footing they are already dead.

Now since its easy to find the Volge on the mini map because of the Ammo Crates then it should be easy to get into a strategic position before fighting them. Distance and being elevated is key. You will slaughter them. I guarantee it.

Great post bro. I use a disruptor too, usually with a mass cannon back up. Or sometimes ill use my vbi ar too to switch it up. Some emergencies they spawn in groups so with the mass cannon and deadly cascade then throw a frag in there... DEADLY combo for those 110% accurate PIA's

You don't need to worry about all that. Just take cover

I have never fought the Volge from an elevation as a rule. I don't struggle at all against them. the biggest key is to just use cover and take out troopers first. Using the right weapon with radiation or syphon is also a big key. Use bio grenades because this makes them shoot half damage, majorly increasing your chance of survival. Use defensive perks also, but use some offensive perks too. Do as much damage as possible in a short time, that's how you beat the Volge(and using cover). Using synergies like Cannoneer(fire rate) and using controlled burst +3(also increases fire rate, even on fully auto guns) is a plus....and also using crit multiplier perks and mods. They have big crit spots that are easy to target, so having a high crit is huge against the VOlge. When I'm head shotting with my FRC Assault Carbine for 900 on crit shots, it's a big big deal. The Troopers go down like they're Mutants. lol

Yes but Volge aren't in Mount Tam. Mutants and hellbugs are/ So noobs see those 2 enemies before seeing VOlge. They just want to leave Noob Land too early and act like Rambo against the giant rockmen!

Me and my clan for one. Or any random players that accept my group invite at the Crater. When you are driving down a clear road and thank god that there are no Volge, you should be thanking the players who cleared it instead.

I do on occasion, they are not so bad now that the viscera don't charge through cover. They still probably take longer than the old style emergency runs though.

Personally I dont have much trouble with them using a simple AR or smg, for some reason they rarely seem to aim over objects like tree stumps or the back of the truck.
Not to mention they should in very predicteble bursts and seem to take a break from firing quite frequently.

The Viscera is without a doubt the easiest of all to beat, even though the regular assault units die faster..
You can easely interupt their dash by focussing fire on their head and when you fight one solo staying roughly a roller size away from them stops them from attempting to dash entirely.
Their partical cannon has a too slow fire rate and warm up delay to actually do hit you.

The bombers can be a pain but die fast.

General rule of thumb, aim for their heads, besides doing more dmg they all end up getting dazed and will use their attacks far less frequently or even stops them from using them entirely.
    No sleep, no dreams.
    No pain, no joy.
In this state of unbeing I ask myself..
    Was I ever innocent?

The Visceras are a joke, they mostly just do slow charges and stand there for the shooting :P
The troopers and bombers are easy to kill as long as you utilize cover and rolling.
