Stew.... as much as some of us would like it to, the entire PC gaming industry just doesn't revolve around Valve and their Steam platform.

Having said that, I'm sure that you will eventually be able to add Defiance to your steam library (steam support) and enjoy the integrate steam thingies you seem to enjoy so much, should Trion feel it ok to do so (sometimes Valve really tries to fleece competiting publishers/developers when they consider putting their games on steam, along with implementing ridiculous quality certification cycles on said companies that Valve doesn't even require of other less known developers like the guys who made WarZ).

Stew360..... try to stay calm, bro. If my memory serves me right, you can get a bit overly animated about otherwise meaningless topics (MAG? Firefall?).

Patching is moot since once you load the launcher for here its' going to patch anyways, friends still will run in the background while this is running. I've run it since the initial release with the Orange box and the forerunner of won.net before it so I know whats up.

You guys do realize that it is up to Valve to allow Trion to put their game on Steam right? I'm sure they would if they could. But it is up to Valve to approve it.

Actually game developers revolve on PS3 dashboard and achivements as well as Xbox dashboard and achivement

On PC the most well know and apreciated platform who suport achivement social tchat vocal tchat etc..etc.. IS steam So yeah pc gamers for the most part would like to have a full steam suport , exactly like they did with xbox and ps3 dashboard

Also defiance will pay a fee to get the useless and crappy microsoft and sony (( certification )) QA wich is pure ******** since most games who passs trough this certification are sometime super buggy etc...

If you play on pc you should know HOW of a anoyance it is to have to make 10 billions of different acconts on origine on uplay etc..etc.. and so on wich most of these platform do not work well AT all and dosent have all the options and comunity driven stuff like steam does

Defiance is new... steam has to find out the market value then buy a license to sell the game. so after the launch steam will have a market value...

Usually MMOs don't exist on Steam. Aion, AoC, Rift, SWTOR, WoW, GW2 and there are probably a dozen others. I am sure there is a logical answer to that. Curious..

Rift was available for preorder on Steam. Its preorder became available a bit after Trion/Gamestop started taking preorders, so there's a good chance we'll see Defiance there.

Yeah, thats what I said to them too... and not to mention Steam is only for PC. Trion World's best bet is to offer beta keys everywhere around the internet. I really think they should give beta gives what can be used multiple times, so friends can give keys to friends. I hope they hit the console players, no doubt they are raving for good MMO. Planetside 2 seems to do quite well, but its F2P MMO and even it isnt top 10.

Steam often has TF2 items as a part of their pre-order offer. That might be the reason for it taking some time - that, or they are negotiating with someone else (Origin?). I'd prefer Steam though, but I've already got it for cheap somewhere else, so it's the same for me now :P

DO NOT TELL ME ORIGIN I hate Ea since they have try to force us into their origin crap , origin is bad and anoy me not worst than Uplay tho thanks god

I dont want to have my game on origin i want it on steam ! and i would like to have the same achivement suport as the console and steam systhem is perfectly well done to emulate the consoles also with big pictures it even more a larger public they can reach if they integrate the controlers suport on PC so yeah

    STEAM needed
