Wouldn't it be ironic if the Trion representatives going to PAX tomorrow wouldn't be able to launch the game for a demo...
Same issue here.
West coast, Comcast, ping and tracert all look good.
Same here. ping -t auth.trionworlds.com shows a reliable connection, but even on the fourth try, I get stuck at "Connecting to servers."
Also unable to get into game.... connecting to servers... which it certainly isn't doing.
Win 7 64bit, west coast.
Well, I logged off of this blog, re-attempted the launch of Defiance, and discovered that "Control-ESC" when pressed simultaneously will minimize the "Connecting to server..." screen. I was then able to select "close window" with my mouse, and was given the "Are you sure..." dialog box within the "Connecting..." window. The window closed, and the launch dialog box closed when the upper-right "x" was clicked.
Still can't connect to the servers. Maybe they were repossessed by debt collectors... Trion has had some serious lay-offs and office closures in the last 3-4 months. Maybe they got hit with a Votan world-freezing virus. Maybe a meteor took out Trion headquarters with no survivors.
I might go back to the original Halo for PC. It is my "other" game. -GJ
Having the same problem stuck in perpetual connecting
A... "we're looking into it" .... "we're working on it" .... even a "we don't care". Some response rather then the resounding silence.
Me too! I checked login the EU Region, and It is no problem. So look like NA service bugged at this time~~!
It looks like it has been resolved for me.
