Why do I still play? Because shooting things with a gun is tons of fun. And I think this game has a bunch of potential, kind of sad to see not much of it being tapped into.

That's pretty much my thoughts....EXACTLY. Well said.

Yes, and I remain hopeful that some things can be realized. I just think a lot of the negativity was fueled by some real issues (not minimizing bad things that have happened to people's games) but that negativity also has delayed a lot of the potential the game has. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This game was going to have problems. First, because all games do. Second, because no one had ever done something like this on a scale like this. And then also because a relatively new dev was attempting something fairly big. But, rightly or wrongly, people got all crazy mad and focused on the DLC and wanting it NOW. And others focused on things they wanted to see changed but that didn't need fixing per se.

I'm not saying, nor have I ever said, this game is perfect. I have not had the big problems with it that others have had (some at times, but not consistent or constant). But others have had big problems. And they don't want to hear the word "patience". It seems too much to ask, but MMOs don't have smooth releases and devs in all games are always chasing down bugs and making patches that break things.

At this point other than pointing out things that are wrong and things we'd like to see in the game-we've paid our money for it. If we want it to get better (and I think that most people do), it really does not help to say it's going to fail or to call the devs names or to say Trion is the worst game dev ever. And then go on and laugh or wonder what will happen if they lay somebody off. How does that help your game and give you more value for your money?

My thoughts ... almost exactly, as well. Nicely put.

I agree with all of the above. Except I never got to Superman.

    oh man!

After the OP's video.. there's a video for a Raptor. We should have THAT raptor in the game instead of the Craptor they gave us. I'd never complain about a turret again! *Evil Grin*
