Slow patch download

patch is downloading super slow there a place i can download it off site and apply it sitting on a 12 hour wait right now

Same here. Silly me that I didn't try to keep the downloader up to date since the download and client update a few days ago. I figured on a launch day patch, but it seems like this patch is nearly as big as the entire client download from three days ago?

When I patched it up a few days ago, I verified that the Defiance folder had over 10 GB of data in it, patcher confirmed all patched up. Well, now it looks like running the patcher tonight wiped out all that data and decided to start from scratch!

I would appreciate if some light was shed on this issue as well. Downloading at .12mb/s at the moment. It's painful to see the time remaining, makes it seem as if I will not be playing any time soon...

I would say its going slow due to server load, imagine how many people are patching.
Its a shame the devs did not have some form of P2P torrent available with an up to date client.

Hopefully by the time I get home from work the load will have dropped a bit so I can get good speeds.

I understand that the "slower" speeds are from heavy server load...but .12-.15mb/s? Really?

Pray to your God that they don't release another update because if they did your download will reset and start from scratch. So it is like double kick in the nuts. First you spend 20hrs to download and then entire download resets because Trion released an update in middle of your download.

Brilliant Trion...you are not the same people who manage Rift, that is for sure.

i went from 2.2 mb down to .25 within the past 30 mins

im sitting at .20 with spikes at a whopping .32 man the speed.
