Slow patch download

Guys seriously launch day for any game specially a mmo is hectic if this is your first one **** because this is pretty normal and them doing a soft patch is pretty smart so they can weed out any last minute problems that they can so they can reduce the amount of cs they will have to do in the following weeks , you guys really have no clue how hard and stressful it is to make a game produce it and launch it and until you do please keep the whining to a minimum because trion worlds is doing an excellent job on this game and seems to me like their doing an even better job at trying to prevent any problems at launch , also like any game download speeds are going to be a bit crappy since they got 100's of thousand of + people trying to download/patch the game im sure they were not anticipating the load of people on their servers i mean who could since 80% of all the copies of defiance were purchased in the last week it's really kind of hard to prepare for that in such a short time , but any way Good job to trion for doing a good job and working hard FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT , and not as our slaves

Not ALL players go to the forums to whine. This is merely a discussion of OUR patch speeds and if anyone has found a solution. Noone is bad mouthing Trion here, were just discussing. Which is what you do here...on the general discussion forum.

i made this post to see if anyone had a work around or off site place to get the patch i wasnt even expecting the servers to be up just wanted to preload. i was having a problem and figured someone else could help or people could see that others where having the same problem. i personally love trion one of the better game companies out there which is the biggest reason i bought the game. not here to whine just hope to get some info.

Any who i looked at this thread initially because i to am only at a dl speed of .10mbs which is heart wrenching but i believe it will get better as the night goes along one can only hope and also i have tried changing my dns and a few other things hoping it would speed it along and nothing works its all on their end not ours its just a sit and wait game, but if any one has a solution to this i would like to know

Just to reiterate, I have also tried...
Cancelling
Restarting Comp
Connecting/Reconnecting internet access
Restarting router
New IP
Running as Admin
Disable/Enable hardware

Looking like we will just have to wait for the servers to die down a bit folks.

i have done all of these also i was up to 1.6 at one point but i thought i could get it higher by restarting. it was a mistake a sad sad mistake

The fifty-spit-K speed download is sad BUT coupled with the patcher not being able to resume is pretty amateur stuff. 20 hour download and no resume = bad news bears. I figure Trion will increase the bandwidth eventually and people will finish their downloads freeing up more and I am honestly not stressing it.

Just more time to relax before my real whining has to start, ya know when I get in game and see all the long running Alpha/Beta issues not addressed See not my first MMO launch, I have a routine.

On a more serious note, if everyone sits on their hands and doesn't point out the issues the CS staff won't know their is a problem. Of course the complaints need to be constructive, like this thread, and not just flaming.
