PS3 Down again! WTF! Trion. I am also experiencing "link your account" message, I leave that page and now all my characters are MIA.
Restarted PS3, re-started game, got as far as load page, my characters are still MIA, floating around some where in cyberspace, I guess.

Trion quit messing up the pc servers trying to fix the bloody console ones you should have never made this game cross platform to begin with!!!

Yeah, the programmers are doing serious work and can't be bothered to communicate status. Or maybe they don't know how to use the internet.
@ InfamousBrad: this is probably on the heads of bean-counting suits. Any decent sysadmin would have a constant system's monitor in place. Being that we don't work there, it's impossible to tell if they do or don't. But even if they did, it would STILL take time bringing the servers back up, finding the problem, fixing the problem, testing the connections (both in- and out-bound) and then setting the IP back up for normal broadcast. You know this as well as anyone- server crashes aren't always as easily fixed as flipping a single switch. I wish to God that it was, but, alas, it's not.
My character data was gone twice and each time when I quit Defiance it gives me a hard freeze. So glad I spent bits on boosts! Was the 3-boost weekend just a ploy to get more money out of everyone? And then save money on their electric bill by turning the servers off for the weekend? or did they forget to pay the electric bill?

I guess the team must have thought everything would be just fine with the servers this weekend. Why they can't have one single person post on twitter and take turns monitoring it 24/7 is beyond my comprehension. All it takes is 3-4 people to handle something like that, and if a post is needed it's like literally 2 minutes, even if you type super slow. Pathetic. 2 hours since any of them have posted on twitter. Not a bloody clue between them. How would it not occur to them to read their twitter feed and messages often? It's their damn jobs to communicate so they can't all disappear like that.
Happened to me (thought I had to create another character) and then I realized I wasn't on the north american server. So right when it wants you to patch it says in yellow (I think) what region you are in. Check that first.
