Did they make you pay the 25 dollars? They didn't do it for me, and had even commented on how it was weird that people weren't required to put that much down since they normally were. I did it anyway since I have full intentions on purchasing the game anyway, so it's 25 dollars I'd have to spend sooner or later.

And that's the reason why Defiance should not cost even more than big game like COD, lol.
For example CoD: BOII in my country costs ~40$, Defiance in preorder costs 60$.
