My drunk thoghts on how to make this game better

1 Increase the orange drop rates on tier 4 lock boxes. Even if we get oranges most of them are normally worst than green weapons. Also increase the chance of oranges based on Ego rating.

2 PvP should have a unified Mathcmaking between all phases.

3 Cloak in PvP should he somewhat visible. Shooting out of cloak takes no skill an being shot from a cloaker turns people off from PvP. It's just not fun.

4 PvP needs better rewards and incentive. Maybe like Xolires said a while back we should get a synergy mod. Or something worth the time.

The biggest fix for this game is separate weapon stats for PvP. PvE gamers are getting screwed over by the **** that goes on in PvP.

You never see anyone come on these forums complaining they took out an enemy in PvE world with cloak and shotgun or infector. Its only PvPers who whine about weapons.

I've been saying it since day one and Im still saying it now. PvP needs needs separate weapon stats. More people would play PvP this way aswell so its a win win for this game

Well duh, who the hell complains about killing a stupid AI? Also, I am pretty sure the SAW nerf wasnt PvP centric, and the nerf to vehicles awhile back wasnt either. So stop putting everything on PvP. PvE gamers screw over PvP gamers as well.

Someone's a might bit touchy this morning.

Anyways; the real problem is to many people whining and complaining every time they do.
But that's in any type of PvP related game. Only difference is other games don't start nuking the crap out of every weapon.

The official PvP forums are quite civil and full of very level headed debate. The majority of the "complaining" seems to come from people who have the false perception that PvP is dictating the direction of balance updates. The only thing happening is that PvP players tend to be more analytic about game mechanics - we will look over everything and find the most efficient ways to play the game. The only thing is PvP players are finding the "OP" content, which in turn receives tuning.

However, I would like to state one of the most significant tuning changes done thus far, in my opinion, was on the FRC SAW. The change was made directly due to PvE influence - the weapon's purest DPS potential was being actualized too regularly against PvE content. The reality was the SAWs were rarity in PvP, and were seen as on the weaker end due to their stationary nature, as well as crouch and scope necessity.

Most of the PvP changes people are asking for have absolutely zero impact on PvE content. Requests for resizing of infection sizes, a more visible cloaking effect, and unified queuing harm nobody. Readjustments of weapon values are not necessary right now, there's nothing that stands out in particular as being "overpowered." Adding PvP stats just further complicates itemization and adds an unnecessary layer to the game.

Point being, the game is fine as it is in terms of balance tuning. Most of the issues have to do with visuals (infection resizing, cloak effect, charge effect while cloak, et cetera), adding different systems (unified queuing, queue sizinig), or simply additional features (maps, ranking, matchmaking).
Retired. Already proved myself as a top PvP player.
Now playing games that actually have PvP.

Compared to rocket launchers getting pillows for ammo and shotguns being replaced with BB-gun equivalents?

    Just for starters, mind.

It requires an extremely selective retelling of this game's short history to claim that PvP balancing hasn't had a significant effect on PvE in this game.
    When in doubt, circle strafe.

When not in doubt, circle strafe anyway

People need to stop whining and trion needs to stop catering to said whiners most things are nerfed because of pvp ie infectors big boomers syphon procs

But pve has also with saw and vehicles

There may be more nerfs I can't remember

Just stop whining or you will run out of stuff to whine about and you will be back to the beginning

I hate infectors but I will never cry nerf its juvenile and annoying

*Disclaimer*: "game" is a subjective term that does not refer to, or can be attached to any product designated as one designed or influenced by "a company". "functioning" is an abstract term used under the assumption and conclusion of the "reader" and not to be taken and announced as the "writer's" definition. Relation to any event, activity, result, thought process, is entirely coincidental. C. 2013
