Charge Blades. WTF!?!?!

Hotta agree there. I am having too many problems getting a high enough score in the arenas. Maybe I just have to keep trying for another month to succeed.

its all about keeping that multiplier up. Using a BMG on the smaller guys will kill them quickly and keep up that multiplier. From their its timing your other kills and knowing how much time you have between them before your multiplier drops. Make sure you go to the enemies as well, and in the even that the game lags and you get undead enemies (empty health bar but not dead) just head to the next available enemy.

I was by no means lag-free when I did the arenas (did them second day after drop) and I managed to get Gold in every one except the last one with only a Syphon Tachmag. The last one caused me to whip out the ole Telespanner.

They're not suppose to be easy, so be patient. You'll get it eventually.

But I get what you are saying and I am sure part of it is that I just got the Volge lmg so I have been using that alot. It's fun and powerful but do to the really bad firerate (to keep it from being overpowered) It is NOT a good solo-timed-event weapon! Guess I better put my vbi ar with syphon back on when doing arenas.

Sort of along the lines of the charged blade but question i have for you guys is do you loose the rep points?
The other day i finally got back in Defiance and tried the arena, almost had enough for a charge blade but wanted to do other missions so i chose abandon mission. Why is the arena even a mission?
I had made it to the scrapper one in the arena. I think the arena should be something you can do at your leisure and not have to continually do. BTW i found my loadout of a shotgun and SAW worked very well.
Used the shotgun (automatic one) for the skitterlings which worked great for multipliers and SAW when i needed to take out more enemies in a hurry

One of the things with the Volge LMG is you can fire more rapidly if you repeat shoot instead of holding the trigger down. Still, it isn't super fast. And due to its effects--the glowy shiny stuff it can be more trouble in arenas than its worth. It can cause or contribute to lag. And lag can lead to fewer foes or odd acting ones and make arenas impossible to do well in.

By the time I had done the quest line and all the arena's I had enough faction for blue blade, 250 was not that hard to grind for, Just do the daily and get bronze in each and you still get almost 100 faction. The original questions line ties into the contract too so you can come out with 250 by the time you do the orginal quest line and grind a couple of more to get the final silvers, no big deal.

I cant name off the perks I use however my weapon combo is a vbi smg and a wolfhound and I managed top 3 spots on all 5 arenas for a brief period of two hours.

I have 2 charge blades, and I broke 2 down already
