Character customization c'mon.......

Ya know I have been an mmo player for years. I played Everquest for 10 years! What I really miss is armor customizations. In Everquest for example like all other mmos you could completely custimize armor pieces legs,boots, bracers, breast plate, shoulders, helms, etc. everyone looked different and you absolutely know when looking at someone if they are a real high level. That is so absent in this game. We pretty much all look the same because all you can change is your outfit and helm. Why can't there be more armor customization?? I remember in EQ you could look so bad *** and people would run up to you just to look at you be ause you knew they were a high level and boss. In this game you can't even tell a 5000 ego from a 1000 ego.

Why play Defiance if you love EQ so much? They are two way different games, and comparing an MMO on a PC to MMO on a console, is like comparing an apple to an orange!

I first off just because its nice to have a little individuality makes hard work for items pay off and I don't play EQ anymore obviously. Secondly yes I can compare a console game to a pc game, great example usin Everquest, on ps2 Everquest released a game and even on ps2 you still had all different armor pieces to choose from. So nice try guys

There are five loadouts, which that gives you tons of mixed customs so far. Also this game hasn't even been out long enough to compare! Sorry still not following.

Wtf yes there are 5 load outs so big deal that doesn't give me more options for custimization it gives me the same exact options as any character. Noone is comparing I just used EQ as an example I could of named any other of 100 mmos I've played. If you're not following I don't know what to tell you I can't simplify it more than I have

No offense, but I'm thinking you're feeling pretty slick & crafty, acting like what he's saying doesn't make any sense.

Anyways, I've been saying this for a long time. There is no WOW OMG LOOK AT THAT effects in the game to separate ego 5,000 from ego 525.
But as said above, wouldn't make much difference since everyone is the exact same chatacter model whenever more then 4 people are on the screen

I think the OP is underestimating the amount of resources required to play an open world MMO with real-time active combat as opposed to an MMORPG with hot bar auto combat attack strings.
