Wow, thanks so much for the quick and awesome replies. I really appreciate it! I'm glad the loot is individual. At first I wasn't running over it because I thought it was everyone's. I didn't want to be greedy. Then I figured out other people couldn't see my loot. But I wasn't sure if it worked the same way during sieges and arkfalls.

Yeah I learned playing the MMO I downloaded last year there are always communication issues, sometimes language barriers even on North American servers. I've tried to help people in the past just to find out they wanted to clear a mob on their own (they were farming mats, or test a new gear config or something.) I am still new enough to gaming that I don't have a headset/mic rig yet so I'm easily kickable in instance groups! LOL

I had no idea about the mobs leveling up for number and level of other players in the area. I'm just hitting 200 EGO so I can't accidentally screw anyone up yet. But its good to know.

I'm on PC (Ashado) is my main. So friend me if you are on!
    Thanks

So I am still learning the mechanics but I was wondering if people could post some thoughts on general game etiquette. My questions are as follows:
1.) Loot: It doesn't show to other players unless you are in a group right? And when you are in a group (which I haven't been yet) do you roll on it? Do standard need/greed/no-ninja rules apply?
2.) Rescue missions and arkfalls and dynamic events: Is it ok to join in on a rescue mission you can't do yourself? Or an arkfall for that matter? Is it ok to help kill the boss, or should you p*ss off if you don't get a group invite (I'm not sure what an arkfall is either. Does your XP take away from others XP?)
3.) If you are a new player like me is there a number of EGO point you can hit that allows you to line up for instances or are you expected to wait until you hit "endgame" content? Basically, in classic MMO terms - is there a "level 20 dungeon?"
Any other etiquette things I should know?
Thanks is advance and see you in game,
    Ashado
    Welcome to the game.

    1. What you see is your own loot. All of it. Noone else can take it. There does seem to be a timer or something - if you don't pick it up, it eventually disappears.

    2. Arkfalls and Sieges are public events - feel free to join in.
As for the roadside emergencies... depends on the person / emergency.
Everyone who participates gets the same emergency completion XP.
Everyone who damages a target gets a chance for loot on that target.

Whoever lands the killing blow can matter sometimes.
At the moment, there is a daily contract for killing Volge Bombers.
It only counts if you land the killing blow.
Which is different to how contract mechanics normally work - so it's a special case.

    3. The only content that are restricted based on EGO is the coop maps. But that's just to join one yourself. If you're grouped with a higher ego person; they can queue for the coop and you can join them on it. Even then, I believe all the coop maps open by EGO 500 or finishing the main storyline. You can finish the main storyline before EGO 500 actually if you skip everything else.

    Just a few points:
As someone commented, kill shots are important for some daily contracts (Volge Bombers) and pursuits (kill shot on the Prognitor and Hellion). Once you have your kill shots, try not to rob other people of their chance.
There is a pursuit to revive 100 people at Major Arkfalls. If you die, before you self-revive, it is nice to give someone running up to revive you the chance to do so. Of course you could end up in an Arkfall with people who just are selfish, then you'll have to self-revive
Last co-op to unlock is Comandeer Cronkite (sp?) at ego 550.

    Welcome to the game
