I think your story telling mode WAS quite good but it doesn't really save the day. When people tune in to SEE a demo, they expect to watch the new game play, not to hear about it. I saw in the chat someone say, it's like when Grandma told us stories. (I don't THINK he was equating YOU with his Grandmother, just that story time was an interesting fallback and reminded him of his childhood.

I thought the stage where the raiders ported to the Plane of Death and the Plane of Life and had to switch focus at just the right time was quite interesting.
I agree with your con mentality but unfortunately we weren't in our own booth. There is a queue of folks for each slot and often you don't have any time to set up (in this instance the folks before us went until our time slot so we couldn't even plug in until we were supposed to be on air.) there isn't time to tape nor are we allowed by Twitch - it's not our stage - we are presenters and adhere to their rules. So that comes with having to fit in their space and work when times shift and contract but comes with the bonus of reaching a whole new bunch of people. I can tell you that I have feedback for how it can be better next time. Everyone is aiming to improve!

did other groups have issues with Twitch's set up? if they have a fair business model, it would be in their best interests to listen to those who use their space.

Not sure as I didn't watch the whole stream. Friday we were bumped back because one group had tech issues and went on 25 minutes late. I was upset because it shortened our time slot and we weren't on when we should have been but at the same time, this is a live show and sometimes that happens.

sounds like what we deal with whenever we have to share a rifle range or training area with another unit that doesn't have their collective heads, screwed on straight. keep up the effort. btw, Gregg's beard was glorious and you're looking great considering the amount of hours you put in work wise. i'll end the rear kissing here.

There are a lot of people on these forums who just need to step away from the computer and re-evaluate their priorities and stop wasting their time.

This thread is not only pointless in a general context but completely unrelated to Defiance.

    Who. Gives. A. ****.
    Trion Worlds does, that's who.

See, don't spread this around, but just because you don't play games like Rift . . . well . . . it's Trion's flagship title. Not only that, it has more players than Defiance. Not only that, but from Trion's own words: those players, many of whom came in to try the game with the F2P launch, have become subscribers for recurring monthly revenue, and are spending in the cash shop (and Rift actually has a cash shop worth spending money in).

Meaning, Trion is far more concerned with Rift than Defiance. Simple business. It's also why Rift has the A-Team for Development.

But you asked: and it's RIFT so, again, why do any of us care? I don't play games like RIFT.

Well, besides Trion caring, I care. I play Rift. So that answers your bold. I can also point you to several Defiance forum members who also play Rift. So, you meant: why do I care? I don't play Rift.
