It probably was but it's an Alienware and they suck up a LOT of power. It could only run for a few minutes on battery (which it did).

Never understood the point of a laptop that can't even last a few hours. lol
Those powerful laptops need to come with bigger batteries or something. :P

I have an Alienware, and there are two modes (graphic switching) you can use. One is High Performance GPU and Power-saving Performance GPU. With the HP GPU, I last about an hour before it dies. This is the mode where you can play your games. With the PSP GPU, I can last about 4 hours. This mode won't let you play game (really bad graphics) but I can go on the internet, word docs, etc.

The reason I got a laptop is that I can move it anywhere I want in the house, travel with it for work, etc. and still have a gaming rig. Sure I can get a more powerful and cheaper desktop, but it's not mobile. I travel a lot for work so this is great for me. It also helps that I convinced worked to pay for it for me.

In the end, when I'm gaming, I keep it plugged in. At a hotel, I can either work or do some light gaming. It's really heavy for traveling, but meh. Some sacrifices to be made.

Yeah, it was an Alienware. I think if you don't have it to anything it lasts about 45 minutes these days. So about 45 seconds if you are playing a game. ;-)

That being said, Greg could have gone to double check even when the sound booth guy said we were plugged in. Probably would have noticed that while the plug was in the computer, the brick was loose (and would have saved the day!)

Worry not. Elizabeth would fall on the charged blade before she'd let Greg do so.

I would hate to hear that this actually happened. I think he's got a great sense of humor.
